    Carnaval

    Carnaval is all about s’amuser dehors – having fun outside in winter! The weather was beautiful for Carnaval this year. This outdoor French tradition was visited by Bohnomme while students engaged in a circuit of outdoor activities reflecting old fashioned fun such as sledding, tug of war, playing musical wooden spoons, arts & crafts and much more.

Curious to find out what Greenview school has been up to and where it will be heading for the 2015-16 school year? We invite all families with children thinking of attending our school in the fall to come out for an evening of information showcasing all we have to offer. Should you happen to know of any families in the immediate community with children aged 4 years or older ready to enter Kindergarten, please tell them to come and check us out on Tuesday, March 24th from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Welcome to École Greenview School

Welcome to École Greenview School! I'm looking forward to another exciting and challenging year of learning for our students.

We are proud to offer a variety of programs and activities that encourage our students to explore their curiosities, strenghten their skills in math and reading and develop a love of learning that will last beyond their elementary years.

To help our students achieve their full potential, we depend on the co-operative efforts of staff, parents and the community to provide a learning environment that:

  • respects individual differences and strengths;
  • establishes expectations and responsible behaviour;
  • nurtures self-worth and dignity;
  • fosters further learning; and
  • challenges and provides opportunities for success.

Learn more about how you can be involved in your child's learning and the daily operations of our school.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Sincerely,

Dennis Kuchta, Principal

Principal's Message

Welcome to École Greenview School! We are now accepting registrations for the 2015-2016 school year. We offer a full K-6 English Program with a morning English Kindergarten class. As well, we are a K-6 French Immersion Program school for southeast Edmonton (Millwoods). We have registration spaces available in our French Immersion Program - with 2 classes for Kindergarten and limited space available in Grade 1 classes If you are interestred in French Immersion Programming, please call the school to check on availability. Our district registration deadline is April 15, 2015, after which we can determine our pre-registration.

We are accepting new registrations for families living in the immediate Greenview neighbourhood for Kindergarten to Grade 6. Please contact the school to check on the registration process.  If you know of a youngster who will be of Kindergarten age (will be 4 years of age on or before March 1, 2015), we would invite them to register at Ècole Greenview School. If you know of a family new to our community, be sure to share with them what a great school we have and have them come in and check us out. We are a school with an optimal enrollment limit (as well as limited space!) thus we are limited to one class of English Kindergarten and 2 classes of French Immersion.

Looking forward to a great school year!
