Spring 2010 at École Greenview School!

Happy Spring everyone!

It is the time of year when people are selecting the school in which they wish to register their children for the upcoming school year.  École Greenview School has always been a popular choice for families from all over the Mill Woods area and this year is no different.  Because of this and the fact that we are having our portables removed over the next few years, the number of students we can accept from outside our small catchment area remains small.  I would urge all those who are interested in joining the Greenview learning family do so in short order to avoid disappointment.

schoolAs well, soon teachers will begin establishing class lists for the upcoming school year.  As you can well imagine, this is no easy task.  These lists are posted on the first day back to school in September.  When making the class lists, teachers take into account many different things to balance the learning groups accordingly.  We accept specific information from parents about which learning environment they believe is best for their child, and we also try to place each child in a class with at least one friend with whom they work well.  We do not accept requests for a specific teacher.  Parents should be assured that whomever the children are placed with, they will receive quality learning programming.  If parents wish to provide information about the learner characteristics of their child they are to send this information to the school principal.

We wish everyone an enjoyable spring season!

We're grateful to Millwoods Sports Cycle for their kind contribution toward the purchase of our two bicycles (including helmets and locks) for our year-end draws! Their support helps with an important part of our Character Education Program-- recognizing and encouraging our students' positive character traits. Thank you Millwoods Sports Cycle!
