    Music Program

The music program at École Greenview School is led by our talented Mrs. Bergen. Students are able to participate in both a Junior and Senior choir with practices held during their lunch hours. The choirs perform in a number of events throughout the school year, including the Festival of Trees, the Night of Music, during school assemblies as well as the annual Christmas concert.

Greenview Open House

Greenview’s Open House

Thursday, February 22, 2018 – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Community members, families and perspective students are invited to come to École Greenview School between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm to find out all about us by touring our school, visiting classrooms and meeting some of our current students and staff.

We will begin accepting registrations for next year’s Kindergarten classes beginning on Thursday, February 1, 2018.

We are proud to offer a variety of programs and activities that encourage our students to explore their curiosities, strenghten their skills in math and reading and develop a love of learning that will last beyond their elementary years.

The Leaders of tomorrow are already here at Greenview! Each of our students has the capability to be a leader in our school and community. Our job is to help them reach that potential, but we cannot do it alone. We need the help of parents/guardians, school partners and, of course, each student.  Together, we will strive to help them achieve success not only as a leader, but as an educated Albertan.

The co-operative efforts of staff, parents and the community help provide a welcoming and meaningful learning environment that supports students to become:

  • Engaged Thinkers, and
  • Ethical Citizens, with an
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit

Registration 2018-2019

Welcome to École Greenview School! We offer a full K-6 English Program with a morning English Kindergarten class. As well, we are a K-6 French Immersion Program school for southeast Edmonton (Millwoods).

Registration forms are available at the General Office. You must provide your child’s Canadian Birth Certificate or Canadian Citizenship Papers with your registration form as well as proof of your residency (ie. driver’s license, lease agreement,  current utility bill, etc.)

We anticipated a strong demand for our French Immersion Kindergarten (FIM) program once again. To clarify and make it very clear that we are following the District’s current administrative regulation on Student Accommodation, the process for accepting enrolment in our French Immersion Kindergarten was as follows:

1. Children who reside within Greenview’s attendance area.

2. Siblings of students who are currently attending École Greenview School and who will continue to do so next year. If space remains, then

3. Students outside of Greenview’s attendance area are accepted.

4. If there were more applicants from #3 then there were remaining spaces, a RANDOM selection process occurred for those students only who do not meet the first two criteria.

We have a total of 44 FIM Kindergarten spaces for the 2018-2019 school year. We will participate in the District’s spring random selection process (timelines to be determined). As a result, French Immersion Kindergarten registrations for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year will not be finalized until April 25, 2018.
