Welcome to École Greenview School!
The Leaders of Tomorrow are already here at Greenview! Each of our students has the capability to be a leader in our school and community. Our job is to help them reach that potential. But we cannot do it alone. We need the help of parents/guardians and school partners. Together, we will strive to help students achieve success not only as a leader, but as an educated Albertan.
The co-operative efforts of staff, parents and the community help provide a welcoming and meaningful learning environment that supports students to become:
Engaged Thinkers, and
Ethical Citizens, with an
The two most powerful indicators of success in school are parent support and a student’s ability to read. In our efforts to help you “Raise A Leader,” I strongly encourage you to participate in your child’s educational journey. I look forward to seeing you throughout what promises to be an awesome school year.

We anticipate a strong demand for our French Immersion Kindergarten (FIM) program. To clarify and make it very clear that we are following the Division’s current administrative regulation on Student Admission and Enrolment, the process for accepting pre-enrolment in our French Immersion Kindergarten will be as follows:
Topic: Student Admission and Enrolment
Student Admission and Enrolment
8. The Division offers families the choice of a range of alternative programs. Enrolment of new students in any Division alternative program is not guaranteed.
a. For schools that offer an alternative program in addition to regular programming, new students are accepted during pre-enrolment in an alternative program in the following order:
- Resident students who live in the attendance area, and who are currently in the alternative program in a Division school.
- Resident students who live in the attendance area.
- Resident students who live in the program enrolment boundary, where applicable.
- Siblings of students currently in the alternative program at the school and who will be returning the following year.
- Other resident students.
- Non-resident students currently enrolled in the same alternative program elsewhere in the Division (notwithstanding Section 8.C below).
- Other non-resident students
We expect to have a total of 48 FIM Kindergarten spaces for the upcoming school year. If we receive more than 48 applications for the French Immersion program, we will participate in the Division’s spring random selection process. As a result, French Immersion Kindergarten registrations for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year will not be finalized until April 26, 2022
It is important to note that as a school division we do not keep waiting lists or accept students on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. This is to ensure fair and equitable access to all students applying from outside the attendance area.
For those students already attending an Edmonton Public School including Greenview, pre-enrolment registration will take place through SchoolZone beginning at 9:00 am on March 8, 2022 and closes on SchoolZone at 4:00 pm on April 14, 2022.
